Discover the beauty of Connemara with the Connemara Mountain Walking Festival in Leenane from 28th April to 1st May 2023. Nestled on the edge of Killary Harbour and surrounded by mountains in all directions, Leenane which is a 30 min drive from Westport offers a unique combination of mountain and sea scenery.

The festival has become a major event on the calendar for Connemara and the region, and their goal is to let you experience all that this fabulous community has to offer while immersing yourself in the wild Connemara landscape. Their walks are designed to suit all levels of ability, and we have a large pool of professional guides who are passionate about what they do to help make your experience all the more worthwhile.

During the festival, you will have the opportunity to explore the stunning scenery, nature, history, and geology along the Wild Atlantic Way. They encourage our walkers to interact and mingle on our walks, as sharing the experience with others can make it even more rewarding.

Transport to and from the walks is included in the price, along with a team of fully qualified mountain guides from local mountain rescue groups. The festival is fully insured, and maps, a small souvenir, and tea and scones when you finish are also included. And let's not forget the Friday evening entertainment and the famous end-of-festival Cèilidh!
