The Dublin Trio – Kevin Conneff, Joe McKenna and Tony Byrne – will be raising the roof of Matt Molloy’s Yard Bar when they appear this April. Kevin Conneff is probably best known as the bodhrán player and vocalist with The Chieftains. Not only is Joe McKenna one of the country’s most respected pipers, he’s also an accomplished low whistle and button box player. Lastly, Dublin guitarist Tony Byrne is a dedicated traditional musician, revelling in performing it, teaching it and recording it, and has shared the stage with acts like Sharon Shannon, Danu, Paul Brady and Lunasa. A great night of rousing trad in store.
