A night of fearless circus, music and storytelling inspired by Ireland’s Pirate Queen, Grace O’Malley.
Join an all-female cast for a contemporary cabaret take on Grace O’Malley’s extraordinary life. You’ll meet Grace the acrobat, her son Tibbot the contortionist, the Spanish Armada pole dancer and Queen Elizabeth I as you’ve never seen her before.
These characters are woven together with live storytelling, original harp music and plenty of laughs.
This is not a history lesson.It’s a celebration of bravery, womanhood and pure pirate energy.
The Pirate Queen Cabaret showcases extraordinary moments from Circus250’s spectacular new show, Grace: The Story of a Pirate Queen, and marks the opening night of the very first Grace O’Malley Festival, taking place 22-24 May just down the road on Achill Island.
