Meet our Expert Hike West Fest Leader - Mike Quinn.

Mike Quinn, a native of Westport, County Mayo, is an avid hiker and hillwalker who has a strong passion for nature and outdoors.
His love of trekking has brought him on travels around Ireland and many other countries throughout the word.

Mike is an experienced hiker who has accomplished the following:

• All-Ireland Hillwalking Champion 2022:
• Gold Medal with Mayo teammates.
• Won the Mountaineer of the Year award.
• 15 Years of Hiking Experience: Extensive hiking experience across Ireland and internationally.
• Charity Walk: In 2018, completed a 1000km hike from the bottom to the top of Ireland, raising over €11,000 for two charities.
• Adventure Award: Received an adventure award for the 2018 charity hike.

Through his social media channels, Mountain Mikes Adventures, he shares the breathtaking beauty of Ireland’s mountains and hills, all while keeping a light-hearted and fun approach.

His experience and love for the mountains make him an ideal guide for the Westport Hiking Festival, and looks forward to helping you Explore the thrills of hiking Mayo’s stunning unspoilt landscape accompanied by with a team of experts.
