The Unforeseen
is the new band of BBC award-winning vocalist and songwriter, Christine Tobin's with Karen Street piano accordion (UK), Phil Robson guitar (UK) & Dave Whitford double bass (UK) The Unforeseen play an exciting and diverse repertoire that ranges from their own original tunes to their adaptations of Tango legend Astor Piazzolla; Bill Frisell; the beautiful Irish trad song, Cuirt Bhaile Nua; Baroque composer Henry Purcell; Brazilian maestro Milton Nascimento; Duke Ellington and more.

Karen Street accordion is celebrated as one of the top jazz accordionists and composers on the European scene. She has recorded three albums under her own name and leads various ensembles. She was recruited by avant-garde jazz pianist /composer Mike Westbrook to play with his orchestra early in her career and still plays with him today. She has toured with Maria Schneider's Big Band, played with Guy Barker's Jazz Orchestra, Martin Taylor's 'Spirit of Django', jazz saxophonist Tim Garland, The Nash Ensemble, Ute Lemper, Ice Breaker, the BBC Philharmonic, the LSO, Ballet Rambert, Glyndbourne Opera and Grace Jones.

Dave Whitford double bass One of the most in demand bass players on the London and European Jazz Scenes. Has played with Bill Frisell, NDR big band, David Liebman, Steve Lacy, Marc Copland, Chris Cheek, Kirk Leightsey,, the Mike Gibbs Big Band, Billy Hart and many more.
