At the Visitor Centre in Ballycroy Village you will find a 2km looped trail with viewing point – enjoy spectacular 360 degree views of Nephin Beg Mountain Range and seascapes including Achill Island. Ginger & Wild Café and Stronach Gallery are also at the Visitor Centre serving coffees, teas, delicious light lunches and home baked scones and cakes, free Wifi – awarded TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019.

A 10 minute drive south of the Visitor Centre along the main N59 road, you will find the 2km looped Claggan Mountain Coastal Trail, a 1km boardwalk on bog, with the return section along the seashore. A beautiful coastal walk for all the family.

Longer trails are available in the eastern side of the Park at Letterkeen, three looped trails ranging from 6km to 12km. The National Park is also home to Ireland’s first Dark Sky Park, with recommended dark sky viewing points at the Visitor Centre, Claggan Mountain Coastal Trail and Letterkeen.
